Brest (Брест) is a town with approximately 350,000 inhabitants, located in the Southwest of Belarus, right along the border with Poland. Also, he is situated at a relatively short distance of the border with Ukraine. The oldest documents in which this settlement is mentioned, date from the year 1019. Due to the fact that it is so close to the Polish border but also to the Ukrainian border, it is natural for this locality to be considered an important road and railway junction.
